East Carolina Velo Cycling Club is based in Greenville, NC.  We are interested in all things concerning the sport of cycling within Eastern North Carolina and the surrounding area. Club members organize and lead recreational rides and training rides to help promote all aspects of cycling. The club organizes group trips to area races, mountain bike rides, and centuries. We encourage all members to participate in cycling related events. We are a club of volunteers so please think about how you can help and do so as often as possible.

2009 RIDE OF SILENCE raises awareness for cyclists.

The Ride of Silence, an international event held annually to honor fallen cyclists and bring attention to bicycle safety, was held in Uptown Greenville on May 20, 2009. More than 55 cyclists gathered in the Bicycle Post parking lot to support bicycling in our community. With traffic control from the Greenville Police Department, the group traveled silently through some of the busiest streets in Greenville demonstrating that cyclists have rights to roads.
